KoRn Is:
Jonathan Davis: Vocals/Bagpipes
David Silveria: Drums
Brian "Head" Welch: Guitar
James "Munky" Shaffer
Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu: Bass
It all started in Bakersfield California. Jonathan was in a band called sex art with the future guitarist of orgy and the future bassist of adema (and the singer of adema is none other than jonathans half brother, Marky Chavez). Meanwhile Munky, Fieldy, and David were in a band called L.A.P.D (love and peace dude) with singer Richard Morales. Fieldy said they were looking for a drummer and David called and left a message on his message machine and he was only fuckin 13. He loaded up his drums and his mom drove him there to try out and he was fuckin good  Head toured with them as a secondary guitarist but mostly just drank all of their beer. They released an album in 1990 and 1991 on xxx records. "They put out their first 12" LP and then a full-length called "Who's Laughing Now." Then in 1997 they re-issued both releases as one CD called "L.A.P.D."" The kicked Richard out and started looking for a new singer. Head and Munky were in a bar one night and were about to leave when Jonathan came on stage. He started to sing and they turned around and their mouths both dropped. They stayed and watched the whole set and after asked them if they would join their band. Jon asked a psychic and she said he would be stupid if he didnt do it so he did. They called their band creep but later changed it to korn. Jon supposedly got the name from being at a party and seeing a gay couple. One guy was sucking the other guys....... butt.... and he blew diarrhea in his face.. Then when he opened his mouth there was a kernel of korn. All that night Jon would walk up to people and scream KORN and they would get all freaked out. David says the name doesnt matter. He said its a shitty name but if they make good music the name becomes cool because the music gives the name a good reputation. Sex art originally wrote blind and it was a little different then the korn version but korn changed it a lot. "Christmas Song 12" Blood Red Promo Vinyl was the first ever release from KoRn through Sony. It was released at Christmas of 1993 to celebrate the season. It contained two tracks: Christmas Song (Blatant FCC Violation Version) and Christmas Song (Squeak By The FCC Version). The Blatant FCC Violation Version has only ever been released on the vinyl. The Squeak By The FCC Version has also been released on the KROQ Christmas compilation 'Kevin & Bean's Last Christmas 1999'. The only difference between the two version is that the Squeak By The FCC Version omits four words 'Dick', 'Faget', 'Dick' and 'Queer'." later they recorded the niedermeyer's mind demos in 1994 which contained alive, daddy, blind, and predictable. They released Their self titled album on October 11, 1994. Blind was their first single and then they released shoots and ladders and clown. They recorded a video for faget that was never released until 1997 on the who then now video. Jonathan says that daddy is NOT about his dad raping him but about his parents not believing a issue that they had and saying no.. that would never happen to our son.. and thinking that he was lying about it. Korn has never preformed daddy live and never will. Alive, Sean Olson and Broken soul (broken soul was only done live once at korns 3rd show ever) werent included on self titled but alice was later redone and released on take a look in the mirror and sean olson was released as a b side on singles. Korn took 2 years off after recording self titled, and then released life is peachy (which was originally going to be called life is peachee.. or something like that) on October 15, 1996 in which they released a video only for adidas although mtv put together a video for no place to hide with clips of live shows and video footage. Kill you is about his mean cousin that would fuck with him and give him Tabasco sauce when he was sick. He would have fantasies of killing her and fucking her hence the lyrics: you are not my real mother so I beat and stab and fuck her in the backround of all I want to do, is kill you Proud wasnt chosen for the final line up but was released as a b side on singles. During that period a kid was suspended for wearing a korn shirt to school because the principal said that korn was vulgar (even thought the shirt just said korn and didnt have any bad images). It became a big legal case and the kid one. Both self titled and life is peachy were produced by Ross Robinson. While korn was recording follow the leader they did korn tv every Thursday and had the korn kampaign which was a HUGE autograph signing where they went to different cities just to sign autographs and promote follow the leader.  This made them really stressed out. Infact, during the family values tour in 98 they almost broke up due to a mental disease Jon got from work overload. Follow the leader was released on August 18, 1998. Justin is about a kid dying of cancer whos death wish was to meet korn. And pretty is about Jonathan walking into a bathroom and finding a dead baby raped with its legs broken behind its head. Dead bodies everywhere is about him working at a morgue when he was younger and having to deal with the thoughts of seeing all of the dead bodies. (Ironically Jon was voted most likely to work in a morgue in his hi school). I can remember (the so called heavy version of cameltosis) wasnt chosen to be on the cd but was released as a b side on singles. Korn did a video for got the life, and freak on a leash. Follow the leader was produced by Steve Thompson, Toby Wright and korn and was produced buy Brendan OBrein. Before issues came out korn had a Kover Kontest where fans sent in art that could potentially be the album of issues. The winner was Alfredo Carlos and they released limited print covers of the other 3 finalists. On November 16, 1999 issues was released with the 4 different covers. Its singles were falling away from me (which was directed by Fred Durst), make me bad, and somebody someone. Issues was produced by Brendan OBrein. Around here is when Jon sobered up and even stopped drinking caffeine. During this time (when they were on the sick and twisted tour) David fucked up his wrist. He had an extra bone that needed to be removed and Jon said that it was from those heavy ass sticks he uses. They had to get faith no more drummer Mike Bordin (one of Davids influences) to fill in on tour because David didnt want to cancel the entire tour. The song Jingle balls was released on the single all mixed up. After all this korn started working ok Untouchables with produce Michael Beinhorn. They had 40 ideas for it and in the end the cd had 14 tracks and it is the only korn cd without a bagpipe song. They had an idea for one but it didnt work out. Korn reportedly spent 4 million on untouchables. It was released on June 11, 2002. They made a video for here to stay and thoughtless. Korn had a contest for a fan to direct a video for alone I break and some unkorn fan but wana be director guy won. His name is Sean Dack. Jon says its there best studio album but it a lot of the songs werent good songs to play live. Because of this, korn went back to the studio to do it right by producing the next album themselves. Take a look in the mirror was released on November 21, 2003. Its singles were did my time, right now, and yall want a single.
